Kinja'd!!!2 Kinja'd!!! 3

Time for a few classics for sale close by my rural outpost, for the group to inspect.

I grew up on the water of near by lakes, water skiing, boating etc. I also grew up with a healthy love of classics. That might explain why Amphicars have always amused me. While I'd never seriously consider owning one (or riding in a lake in one, for that matter) there is a certain innocence in the idea that these were our future. "Someday, cars will be boats, cars and planes!!" Do yourself a solid and take a gander then at not one (!) but TWO Amphicar's for sale near me.

The first is a 1963 Amphicar done in a very attractive (?) shark motif:

Kinja'd!!!

It's been painstakingly restored down in Newport Beach, CA and the owner says it swims and drives well. Some modern touches like negative ground wiring and radial tires make it show and go ready - all yours for just $55,000

Amphicar #2 from 1967 is a less polished offering

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

But still described as water and land ready with only 11,000 miles on it. Described as "Very Original" it can be yours for mearly $45,000.

More to come.

I'm not one to comment on pricing (hell, yes I am) but I found both of those prices crazy until I looked around, dude is priced OK for the apparent quality of the cars. Still wouldn't catch me dead in one though.
